Descriptions
• Acro-tumbling
Beginning
Suggested for ages 5 and up. This class teaches
stretch, strength,
and flexibility.
• Acro-tumbling
I, II, III, IV
These
classes teach stretch, strength, flexibility and
build on skills
mastered through the acro-tumbling program. Placement through evaluation.
• Ballet
Beginning
-
This is for the first and second year ballet
student. Suggested age 5-7 years.
Basic bodyline, basic positions for body, arms and legs, and basic
terminology are the focus.
Barre, center floor and across the floor cleanly and successfully is the
goal.
• Ballet
I
Suggested ages 7 12 years with a minimum of 2
years experience. One, one-hour
class per week.
• Ballet
II-
Suggested ages 10 years and up with a minimum of
2 years experience. Two, one- hour classes per week.
• Ballet
III/Pre-pointe

Suggested ages 10 years and up with a minimum of
2 years experience.
Three, one-hour classes per week.

IV/Beg pointe level

Suggested ages 12 years and up with a minimum of
4 years

• Cecchetti
Grade I
This Cecchetti ballet technique class prepares
serious ballet students for
grade I national examinations. This class teaches ballet technique and
includes basic theory and
vocabulary.

Competition Students
Ballet
IV & V competition students may substitute 1
hour with
lyrical or technique. Ballet III competition students may substitute with
one hour of technique. All
others must follow minimum hours per week.
• Cheer/Pom
This class focuses a cheer/dance combination
using basic dance combination steps,
jumps, poms and basic tumbling skills.
• Combo
(Combination)
Suggested ages 3-6 years. This one-hour per
week program
introduces the student to all forms of dance. Instruction in tap, jazz,
ballet, and acro-tumbling is
presented to the student.
• Competition
Classes

For the most serious of dancers. These dancers
require superior
dedication. They spend time studying, performing and competing. There is
a great commitment of
time, energy and financial obligation.
• Competition
Lyrical Open Piece
This
class is open to any competition team dancer
as an
optional Lyrical competition piece. The choreography will take place
during three two-hour classes
and future rehearsals will be posted in advance. Cost is $125, which
includes choreography, class
time and rehearsals. Students in this piece will be required to purchase a
costume.

Movement
Developed to meet the special needs of
students unable to participate in
strenuous forms of physical activity. Exercises the body and mind in a
challenging and enjoyable
program.
• Hip
Hop
A
unique dance style combining street dance, jazz
and funk. Commonly used in
popular music videos.
• Jazz
Beg/Int
Suggested for ages 6 and up, jazz dance covers a
wide spectrum of styles from
Broadway to pop. We will emphasize bodyline, strength, and flexibility.
• Leaps
& Turns Beg./Int.

Suggested ages 7-12 years with a minimum of one
year experience. This
class will focus on the techniques of various leaps and turns, beginning
with a good stretch!
• Leaps
& Turns Int-Adv./Adv.

Suggested ages 12 and older with 4 or more years
of experience.
This class will focus on the techniques of various leaps and turns,
beginning with a good stretch!
• Lyrical
Suggested for dancers with ballet experience.
Lyrical dance interprets song through
movement, telling a story with technique and emotion.
• Modern
Dance
Suggested for dancers ages 12 and up with ballet
experience. A free form of dance
allowing emotional expression. Based on the principles of fall and
recovery, contraction and release.
• Musical
Theater
A triple threat program that introduces a
combination of singing, dancing and
acting. Learn to move on stage, audition, present and express yourself
confidently.
• Performance
Team Program
- This program bridges the gap between the
recreational dancer and
the competitive dancer. The PTP classes are for talented dancers that
unable to commit to the
requirements of competition. These multi-level classes are designed for
the intermediate/advanced
dancer that loves to perform.
• Rhythmic
Gymnastics/Ballet
A mix of sport, ballet, gymnastics and theater
dance. Involves
manipulation of five apparatus; ribbon, club, hoop, rope and ball.
• Tap/Jazz
Beginning
-
Suggested for the first and second year dance
student 6 years and up. This 90-
minute class presents the basic tap and jazz steps and fun combinations of
rhythm and movement.
• Worship
Dance-
Suggested ages six years and up. This class
will honor God through the power of
dance.
• Yoga
Suggested for the more mature student. Exercise
the mind, body and spirit. Positions,
stretches and controlled movement to challenge the body, relax the
emotional self and inspire the mental
self.
